Rodeo team member awarded regional championship

Dillon Sherrick is no stranger to rodeo. The cowboy from Welch, Oklahoma, has been riding and roping since he was 9 years old. Today, he holds the title of 2017 Central Plains Region champion calf roper, and last month he had the opportunity to compete for a national title in Casper, Wyoming.

Oklahoma State University graduate students, staff and faculty were recognized with awards presented by the Graduate College and the Graduate and Professional Student Government Association (GPSGA) April 14 during the college’s annual spring awards ceremony. Several students and faculty members from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources were recognized at the event.
OSU Linnaean Games team headed to nationals

Dwayne Cartmell is more than an agricultural communications professor at Oklahoma State University. He also is a skilled photographer and world traveler. His enthusiasm for developing global competency with his students is evident in his teaching, advising and international experiences.
