The College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) prides itself in our small-town feel and family atmosphere. Our students, faculty and staff aren't just faces in the crowd. Whether you are from the big city or a small town, you can find your place in CASNR.
"To me, the CASNR family represents the background in which this university was founded on. CASNR always keeps our university rooted to agriculture, and I absolutely love that! As a team, we are continuing the western traditions for this university and much of that would not be possible without the strong values that CASNR has kept alive throughout the years."
—Madelyn Messenger, OSU Spirit Rider '16
"The CASNR Family is an important aspect in all parts of Homecoming. As alumni from all over the world return to Oklahoma State for the Homecoming festivities, the executive committee wanted to make sure we helped create a Homecoming that captured appeal and inspiration for all generations of families."
—Hammons Hepner, Homecoming executive director '16
"Our family is truly a CASNR Family. Eric and I are professors in agricultural economics and Megan is a junior in agribusiness with minors in finance and economics. While Eric and I do not have degrees from OSU, we were very happy when Megan chose to attend Oklahoma State University. Not only did CASNR immediately feel like home when we moved from North Dakota, but we also know the high quality education, student services and leadership opportunities available through CASNR."
—Dr. Cheryl DeVuyst, agricultural economics
"We have been part of the CASNR family as a married couple for going on 10 years as professors in agricultural leadership. Ag Hall is our home away from home. We most enjoy serving as partners in leading the ag leadership family of students and alums. As a couple we host dinner in our home every fall and spring semester. Our students join us for a home cooked meal, a very competitive bag-toss tournament, fishing, and s'mores around the fire pit.
We raised our children, Nate, Kamle, and Katherine, in Stillwater and have long enjoyed the college community. Our favorite time of year is Homecoming, seeing former students and visiting with our children, including our two OSU grads, Kamle '15 and Katherine '16."
—Dr. Penny and Bill Weeks, agricultural leadership
"Professors have shared their wisdom, faculty have equipped me with necessary resources, alumni have pushed me to achieve goals, and fellow students have encouraged me during my journey. The CASNR family inspired me, and as I receive my degree, I want to say thank you to each and every one of you."
—Ciera Houlton, plant and soil sciences '16
