Part-time Employment

Many students work on a part-time basis in OSU offices, laboratories, greenhouses, university farms and other on- and off-campus locations. For students who receive federal work-study through Federal Financial Aid, a job is virtually guaranteed. For students who do not qualify for Federal Work-Study, many students still find employment in their department, on-campus or in the community. Students should inquire about part-time jobs by asking their academic adviser or department head, or check out the part-time job postings located on the OSU HIRE System.
Tips for Finding a Part-time Job
- Consider your career goals. What type of part-time job will help you get experience related to your career interests?
- Develop a resume.
