STILLWATER, Okla. – The Oklahoma State University Honors College presented its degrees and awards to 178 students during a hooding ceremony in April in the Student Union Ballroom. The degree is the highest that can be presented with the undergraduate degree and students donned the Honors College hood during OSU’s commencement ceremony. Of those recognized, 24 were students from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.

This award designates the successful completion of all the Honors College Degree requirements with a minimum grade point average of 3.5. It is earned by completing several hours of additional academic requirements for a General Honors Award and a Departmental or College Honors Award. Students involved in the ceremony were also recognized with other special Honors College awards.

“These are students who have excelled academically and been willing to take on the challenge of an Honors education— confronting difficult ideas and issues, while expanding their knowledge beyond the bounds of their academic discipline,” said Keith Garbutt, Ph.D., Honors College Dean. “We look forward to seeing their future successes.”
