Start and End Dates
When will my online credit courses start and end?
All courses are concurrent with the standard OSU semester unless otherwise noted. The website for the OSU Registrar lists dates and deadlines for the current semester.
Dropping an Online Course
How do I drop a CASNR Outreach online credit course?
Deadlines for dropping courses can be found at the website for the OSU Registrar.
You must notify the CASNR Outreach in writing. You may drop a course using any of the following means:
If you are on campus, you may stop by 136 Ag Hall and complete a drop form.
Download the drop form and fax it to 405-744-5339.
State that you wish to drop the course(s). Include the course prefix, course number, title (ex. AGEC 3463 Ag Cooperatives) and your reason for dropping the class. Sign it with your full name and your Campus-Wide ID (CWID).
If you fax your drop form, please call us at 405-744-5395 to verify that we received it
What if I forgot to drop my online credit course until it was past the deadline? What do I do then?
OSU has a process you may follow. Complete a Petition to Drop a Course After the Deadline. Instructions are included. You will need to take the completed petition to your advisor as a first step. Your advisor will tell you what needs to be done next. Note: Simply forgetting the deadline is not considered an excuse. You must submit proof of extraordinary circumstances.
Cost
How much does an online credit course offered through CASNR Outreach cost? What fees are involved?
CASNR Outreach charges the equivalent of OSU tuition plus a distance learning delivery fee. Total cost varies by department, but the total is slightly more than the cost for on-campus courses. See course listing for costs.
Tuition and program delivery fee is subject to change without notice.
Billing
How will I be billed for the course?
CASNR Outreach will bill your Bursar account unless otherwise instructed. You will receive an email from the Bursar when your account is billed.
Tuition Waivers/Scholarships
What if I get tuition waivers or have a scholarship? Will they pay for my online credit courses?
University Outreach offices are not authorized to offer tuition/fee waivers for Outreach courses. Some scholarships may not apply to Outreach courses. Please check with OSU's Scholarship and Financial Aid office as to the status of your financial aid (405-744-6604). CASNR Outreach is not authorized to grant tuition waivers, and ultimately, you are responsible for payment for courses you take.
Refund
If I drop a course after the final refund period, can I still get a refund?
As a general rule, NO. If you believe you have extraordinary circumstances, you may complete and file a Petition to Refund After the Deadline. You must submit proof of extraordinary circumstances. Again, simply forgetting the deadline is not an acceptable reason for a refund.
