Applying for Scholarships

First-year, transfer, and continuing students can take advantage of scholarship opportunities. Scholarships are awarded as tuition waivers, cash awards or both, based primarily on academic achievement, potential, and/or leadership, and community service. Oklahoma State University scholarships are available at three different levels.

University Level

No matter what your major or area of interest, any student admitted into OSU can apply for these awards. Examples: Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education Academic Scholars Program, President's Distinguished Scholarship, President's Leadership Council, Valedictorian Scholarship, Freshman University Scholarship, Transfer University Scholarship, and Tuition Waiver Scholarships. Here is a link to a page posted by the Scholarships and Financial Aid Office regarding general OSU Scholarship Information.

College level

There are six different colleges within OSU. You must be majoring or plan to major within a specific college to qualify for these awards. The College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) awards over $400,000 each year to incoming freshman and transfer students as well as currently enrolled students.

Departmental level

CASNR has nine departments and sixteen different majors. If you know the major you are interested in pursuing, you may qualify for the $380,000 available at the departmental leve.
