AG 1011 Student Academic Mentors (SAMs)
AG 1011 is the freshmen orientation course for students in the CASNR that meets during the first eight weeks of the fall semester. AG 1011 SAMs assist with the course by serving as mentors and group discussion facilitators to small groups of students. Through this leaderhip role, you have the opportunity to assist new students with their transition into OSU and CASNR by answering questions and providing guidance from your perspective. AG 1011 SAMs also assist the instructor with class activities, announcements, group activities and facilty tours.
AG 1011 SAMs attend a weekly SAM meeting during the eight-week duration and coordinate their own class schedules to allow them to attend the AG 1011 course section in which their assigned small group is enrolled. If you are interested in serving as an AG 1011 Student Academic Mentor, complete the application below and return it to 136 Ag Hall on or before the application deadline.
