CASNR selects 31 students for Undergraduate Research Scholar program

A partnership between the Oklahoma Agricultural Experiment Station and the Oklahoma State University College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Undergraduate Research Scholar program is enabling 31 CASNR students the opportunity to perform undergraduate research for a full year.

Four CASNR students named 2015-16 Niblack Research Scholars

The Niblack Research Scholars program at Oklahoma State University has opened the doors of cutting-edge research for undergraduates for more than a decade. This year, four CASNR undergraduates are receiving $8,000 scholarships and the opportunity to conduct supervised research for the 2015-16 academic year. The annual program is funded by OSU alumnus John Niblack, who wants to jumpstart the careers of future scientists through the experience of conducting research.

A total of 841 CASNR students were named to the 2015 fall semester honor rolls at Oklahoma State University, including 336 students named to the President's Honor Roll for all "A" grades.

The Syracuse University Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Research Program is a paid summer research opportunity that provides undergraduates with the opportunity to work with distinguished faculty and staff as well as network with others in their field of interest. Student scholars have the opportunity to conduct and present research over a ten-week period under the direction of a faculty research mentor at Syracuse University. Applications are due by February 19, 2016.

NSF-REU Summer Research Program at OSU

The university is proud to announce the summer research experience for undergraduates this coming summer! The program's focus is Biological Basis of Human and Animal Behavior. The project is funded by the National Science Foundation.The goal of this program is to provide 10 undergraduate students with an in-depth, hands-on research experience focused on the biological basis of animal and human behavior. Students will be trained in the application of the scientific method to develop hypotheses, design and conduct research studies involving either animal or human subjects. Applications due by March 4.

This scholarship is being offered by the Public Lands Foundation, a national non- profit membership organization incorporated in 1987 that advocates and works for the retention of America’s Public Lands in the public’s hands, professionally and sustainably managed for the responsible use and enjoyment of American citizens. This scholarship is for students majoring in a natural resource or public land policy curriculum, with an interest in public land management.
