CASNR undergrads awarded Wentz scholarships and research grants

Due to the generosity of the Lew Wentz Foundation, 71 Oklahoma State University undergraduates representing every college on the Stillwater campus will receive a total of $228,500 in financial aid for the 2015-16 academic year. Of these students, 18 are enrolled in the OSU College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. The Henry Bellmon Office of Scholar Development and Undergraduate Research coordinated the competitive selection process for Wentz awards with the help of OSU faculty and staff.
OSU Agricultural Communications Students Excel at National Contest

Oklahoma State University’s Department of Agricultural Education, Communications and Leadership students brought home top honors from the National Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow Critique and Contest at the Ag Media Summit in Scottsdale, Arizona.
AFA Leadership Conference

The AFA Leaders Conference provides support for college men and women who are preparing for careers in agriculture-related fields, while at the same time supporting the development of human capital for the agriculture and food industry. Leaders Conference bridges the gap between academic, leadership and work experiences while helping students understand the impact of their decisions. The conference also assists students in developing personal and professional skills necessary for lifelong success and provides a forum for updates and discussions on industry trends.

About the Division

About the Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources

The College is one of three entities within the Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, which is also comprised of the Oklahoma Agricultural Experiment Station and the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service. The Hatch Act of 1887 established the Agricultural Experiment Station system. The Smith-Lever Act of 1914 created the Cooperative Extension Service to disseminate information obtained through agricultural research.
